Hispathological results showed that the inhalation exposure of rats to nanoparticles of bentonite resulted in different histopathologic states in different groups on lung tissue such as macrophage accumulation, granuloma in lymphnode, acute neutrophilic reaction in the early stages, and pulmonary fibrosis. In this study, different variables, the amount of antioxidant blood parameters (MDA and TAC), pulmonary tissue pathology, concentration effects (0.1, 0.3, 1 and 3 mg/m3) and contact time (30, 60 and 90 days) the inhalation exposure of bentonite nanoparticles was investigated. Results of malondialdehyde (MDA) levels among the groups showed that plasma MDA levels did not differ significantly between control groups at 30, 60 and 90 days. Inhaling bentonite nanoparticles at low concentrations does not have any effect on the levels of MDA and TAC. With the expansion of nanotechnology’s industrialization, the use of nanoparticles has also increased in modern technologies and is key elements of this technology.
